The SCLEDA fall training will take place on October 24-26th at 0800 hrs. at Lexington County Sheriff’s Department located at 521 Gibson Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Further training will be held at the Bundrick Island Marine Patrol Station.

Registration (0800-0830 at the station office) Training will begin promptly at 0830hrs.

The training will consist of 1 day of classroom education followed by 2 days of open water diving. The training will encompass an introduction to heavy lifting and recovery.

There will be four stations where participants will learn how to safely rig and recover:

• Plane/Jet ski

• Boat

• Car

• Anchor (staged lift)

Participants also get an opportunity to obtain certification from International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) – “Introduction to Heavy Lifting and Recovery” for an additional $75.00

Registration is $5.00 per person or $25.00 per a team of 4 or more. This is in lieu of the yearly membership fees due to the pandemic.

Lunch will be provided at a cost of $5.00 per person for training days 2 and 3. Lunch on day 1 will be on your own

All teams planning to attend, please email the SCLEDA President Greg Barefoot (gbarefoot123@gmail.com) by Monday, September 26, 2022 with the following information;

• Name of your team.
• Name of team members
• Type of dive equipment you will be bringing, dive truck w/cascade system, dive trailer, individual dive gear etc.

Note: Air fill stations will be limited so provide enough dive tanks for your team members for the day, if possible.
